Our mission is to educate our community, patients, and their families about the true nature of medical, mental disorders and advanced treatments available for those disorders to reduce progression of the disorder(s), hospitalizations and divert individuals with mental illness away from the criminal justice system and into appropriate treatment.
Restoration and Recovery's vision is to bring about balance in the whole being and/or family system by treating our patients holistically to promote optimal health and invoke a higher level of functioning in all our patients.
About Us
Restoration and Recovery (R & R) was organized in 2013 and licensed in 2014. This organization was founded as the vision of Dr. Craig Rucker M.D., who has worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist for over 40 years with a passion to fulfill a need within the community at large and Marivelle Nunez, LMFT who has worked with at risk populations for over 14 years to provide integrated services in the Las Vegas Community.
This organization will work to educate patients on their physical and mental health in efforts to lead them to a life of recovery through holistic and effective methods of treatment. The ultimate goal of the organization is to instill a life of recovery that will direct family reunification, career opportunities, and a higher level of functioning in the lives of their patients while developing positive productive role models within the community through holistic methods of physical and mental health treatments.
We will network within the community to develop community resource partnerships to better assist patients with their treatment and personal goals. The patients will be able to interact with medical and mental health professionals who will help provide strategies to prevent relapse, develop recovery skills and practices, enhance basic life skills, as well as workforce development and job placement.
Marivelle Nunez
LMFT, LCADC, Life & Health Coach
Marivelle has a Masters of Science in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. She has worked as a Specialty Court Coordinator for the City of Las Vegas’s DUI and Veterans Treatment Court for 10 years. Ms. Nunez has also continued seeing private patients with co-occurring disorders in her private practice. She is now committed to providing services in the Las Vegas community full-time for various populations including Spanish-speaking patients. Ms. Nunez specializes in multi-disciplines and collaborates care with other professionals based on the needs of her patients. She is also EMDR, DBT, and Biofeedback certified.
Thom Stewart
LMFT, LCADC, CSAT
Thomas has a Masters of Science in Marriage, Family Therapy. Thomas's passion is to bring healing to people through the therapeutic process. Mr. Stewart's goal is to help adults and families find healthy perceptions of themselves and to help strengthen their relationships. Mr. Stewart is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a certified Sex Addiction Therapist. He respects the full dignity of the client, ensuring guaranteed confidentiality. Mr. Stewart creates an environment where clients can experience a safe place.
Dr Elleston C. Rucker
Internal Medicine
Dr Rucker has been practicing medicine for over 40 years with a specialization in internal and addiction medicine. With a passion for helping other, Dr Rucker is a dedicated doctor who incorporates investigation and science to get to the center of his patient's medical problems.
